We’ll see the main monuments in the city and different areas: around the Palace of Popes, the pedestrian streets, the famous bridge, the city market, the park of Rocher des Doms, and other places of interest. I can also take you on a guided tour of the inside of the Popes’ Palace. On the way I will show you restaurants that I like, nice shops and other sites that you will want to discover for yourselves. I will talk to you about life in Provence, about the Avignon theater festival, about current shows to see...

TO THE NORTH
Orange and its Roman theatre; Châteauneuf du Pape and Gigondas, famous wine-producing villages; Mount Ventoux highest mountain in the area; Vaison la Romaine with its Roman ruins; Beaumes de Venise (famous sweet white wine!); picturesque villages of Sablet and Séguret; the hills of Montmirail.

TO THE EAST AND NORTH EAST
The famous Luberon , a natural and traditional preserved area; the most famous villages of Bonnieux, Lacoste, Ménerbes, Roussillon, Lourmarin, Cucuron as well as Gordes and the Abbey of Sénanque surrounded by lavender fields; L'Isle sur la Sorgue and its antique dealers, Fontaine de Vaucluse, a natural wonder.Extra ideas: visit to the "Bories" village (traditional stone huts), to a local farmers’ market, to the lavender museum; short hike in the village of Oppède le Vieux...
